A CVS pharmacy in Vegas becomes first to join new national pharmacy union

A CVS pharmacy in Las Vegas has become the first location to join a new national pharmacy union. It’s a step to help pharmacy workers organize and address working conditions. Nearly 30 pharmacy staff at the Las Vegas branch of CVS’s Omnicare will join The Pharmacy Guild, which will represent them in labor negotiations. The Pharmacy Guild was launched by organizers of a recent nationwide walkout of pharmacy staff, aiming to address staffing levels and workloads that put employees and patients at risk.
